Practical Information

🎟️ Tickets
Tickets for the Viking Museum Fyrkat can be purchased at the museum shops at the Chieftain’s Farm (Stormandens Gård) and at The Mill Farm (Møllegården). One ticket grants access to all three sites: the Chieftain’s Farm with live reenactments, The Mill Farm with the museum’s exhibitions, and the Viking fortress itself, located nearby.

♿ Accessibility
The fortress and The Mill Farm are located approx. 1 km from the Chieftain’s Farm. Unfortunately, it is not possible to access all three sites with wheelchairs or strollers. Conditions are best at The Mill Farm, where the exhibition is wheelchair accessible. We are working on improving accessibility across all sites.

🚻 Toilets
Toilets are available at the Chieftain’s Farm, and there is an accessible toilet at The Mill Farm.

👥 Companions/Helpers for Individuals with Disabilities
Free admission for personal assistants upon presentation of a valid companion card.

🍴 Picnic
Outdoor tables and benches are available at both the Chieftain’s Farm and The Mill Farm, where guests are welcome to enjoy their own food.

🐕 Dogs
Dogs must be kept on a leash when visiting the fortress. At the Chieftain’s Farm, dogs are not allowed in areas where food is prepared (in accordance with Danish Veterinary and Food Administration regulations). A water bowl can be provided for thirsty dogs. Service and guide dogs are welcome everywhere.

🅿️ Parking
Free parking is available at both the Chieftain’s Farm and The Mill Farm.

⚔️ Other facilities
At the Chieftain’s Farm, children can enjoy a Viking-themed playground inspired by Norse mythology.
