Admission is free to the self-serve Hals Museum situated at Hals Skanse with its unique old fortification from the Renaissance. The location of the fortification on the waterfront – on the corner of the Kattegat Sea and the Limfjorden – has been of great importance for the development of the town and for the role the fortification has been playing during times of war and peace.
